Congratulations to Robotics Team 60883D for being the State Skills Champion and back to back State Tournament Champions. Great job teams 60883 C, D, and X for qualifying for the VEX VRC Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas May 5th-7th.
News from the Counselor
Coach Grandison is on military leave for the remainder of this school year. Our interim counselors, beginning April 4th, are Coach Spann-Gooden and Coach Johnson. A big STEM welcome to both of them!
News from College & Career Academies of Akron
Student Ambassador Applications went live March 30th and are due on April 12th. If you are a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade learner with a 2.5 GPA or better, no 4’s or 5’s in Citizenship, and no suspensions, you are encouraged to apply! Application information can be found in the Morning Meeting slides or in the email sent by Coach Myers at the end of March.
Senior information
​Senior information booklets will be distributed to seniors by March 31st. Booklets will also be mailed to parents. The booklets will contain information about the senior week, awards ceremony, signing day and graduation. Please contact Coach Binkley for any questions.
Project Linus is a service project that meets every Wednesday after school. Students make blankets that will be donated to Children’s Hospital. Last March students donated 32 blankets to Children’s Hospital in Akron.
From the PTSA...
The PTSA would like to thank you for continuing to support our Scholarship fundraisers. Our final PTSA meeting for the year will be April 11 at 6:30 in the Eagles Nest. We will be working on nominations for our board in the fall as well as setting the fall calendar. We hope you will consider joining us.
